Early last year we had a few freshers say that we had no social events.

This is a flagrant lie.

Obviously there is a lack of communication somewhere. Firstly, I would like to point out that we go to the pub after each and every practice. If the concept of doing two things in one day is too much for you, then we still have days that are solely dedicated to drinking/"socialising"/whatever you call it nowadays. So just in case we've decided that we'll post any kendo fresher pissups here just so that there is no confusion for your little fresher head.
