Answers to a few Grading Questions
While the written test is not exactly the most important part of a dan grade exam (in fact I have never even heard of someone failing there exam from a badly answered written exam) it is still something that must be done at least slightly properly, with out any piss taking (Joe.....).
Over the fullness of time, as I see and answer more questions, this section will get fatter and fatter, so bear with me! If anyone wants to answer a few that they find, or has some old answers lying around in a word format or similar, email it to me and I'll edit it and stick it up! Some people may call this cheating, but I prefer to think that even by reading the answers here as opposed to trawling the internet you will at least grasp some of what you need to be learning. I will not however put up kata question answers, as these would take bloody ages. I may do it in the future though should I get a spare week fo my life to devote to something like that....
As well as the above, this page from the Kendo America website contains some simple explanations about a lot of key points that can be fleshed out for any answers.
Finally, a chap from Oxford Uni Kendo Club called Mike Molloy has very kindly supplied me with the following that he ripped from Kendo World, the original translation having been done by a chap called Peter Strauss. Just because it was done by Mike doesn't mean you need to be bald and middle aged to read it, but it may help. Off you go.
